Founded in 2014, our program was developed in partnership with the Consortium of Information Systems Executives (CISE), a peer organization of Chief Information Officers based in the San Francisco Bay Area. his expert-led approach has delivered great results: our graduates are winning national competitions and finding jobs with leading companies.
Our two-year program is delivered in six-week sessions that meet in person every Friday.
Other coursework happens in an online lab accessible on any smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Additional requirements depend on whether you want to earn an occupational certificate or an Associate’s degree.
This track provides a thorough education in managing and optimizing security infrastructure both in the cloud and on-premise. Students learn to design and manage secure systems to ensure that critical assets of the organization are protected.

This track teaches students to design, develop, and manage secure software and services. Students learn to manage and optimize applications in compliance with security controls and industry best practices.

Be job-ready in two years. Build on your existing degree with a Certificate of Achievement that enables you to enter a new profession. You can add cybersecurity to your qualifications to advance in your career through on-the-job experience and/or occupational certification such as SANS or CISSP.
Start your collegiate education at Merritt College and transfer to a four-year university to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Or with an Associate’s degree, you can secure an entry-level IT security position that allows you to learn and advance.
